Digital certificate revocation

Any certification service provider has the obligation to revoke the certificate within 24 hours after becoming aware of or after they should and they could have become aware of any of the following circumstances:
Upon the request of the signatory, if the signatory ascertains that:
- the cryptographic device was lost
- the cryptographic device is faulty
- the cryptographic device is blocked
- wants to relinquish the services of AlfaTrust certification S.A.
- in case of death or adjudication of incapacity of the signatory;
- in case of an irrevocable court order ordering revocation;
- if proven beyond any doubt that the certificate was issued based on erroneous or false information;
- if the key information contained in the certificate are no longer true;
in case of breach of signature data confidentiality; - in case of fraudulent use of the certificate.
The certification service provider will urgently communicate the revocation of the certificate, along with the reasons for such decision of revocation, if these are based on the provider’s diligence. The certification service provider will record the certificate revocation in the electronic register of certificates within 24 hours after becoming aware of such event. The revocation will become binding for third parties on the date of its registration in the electronic register of certificates.
